The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Four scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
It looks like Lonje Moco has been cut. Moco takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Moco bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Four's head. Nice jab there from Four. Four closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Moco quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Four tries to pass the half guard into mount. Moco knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Moco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Four connects with a nice short shot to Moco's temple. Four thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Four throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Moco avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Four. Four thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moco's head. Moco on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Moco tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Four not landing any meaningful shots this time. Moco is looking for a sweep. Four is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Four not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Four throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Four thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Four is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Four missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Four thows a huge punch but Moco dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Four seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Moco is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Rogue Four!
