Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simo Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Hunt is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chan tries to keep at a distance but Hunt has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hunt stalling the fight.
Chan is trying to pull guard but Hunt turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Chan.
Chan tries to circle away but Hunt has him pinned against the cage.
Chan is trying to break the clinch but Hunt has him pressed against the cage.
Hunt tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hunt fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
The referee calls for Chan to work.
Chan is trying to pull guard but Hunt turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Hunt keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Chan's efforts to push away.
Hunt prevents a takedown attempt there.

Hunt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Chan is looking to control Hunt's arms but Hunt gets an underhook and turns him. Now Chan has his back to the cage.

Hunt manages to break the clinch.
Chan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Hunt.

Chan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hunt after a bit of a struggle.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunt throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Mike Hunt is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Chan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hunt misses with the combination.
Hunt lands the left hand.
A head kick from Hunt lands but Chan takes it in his stride.

Hunt darts in and clinches Chan up against the cage.
Chan can't break the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chan is looking to control Hunt's arms but Hunt gets an underhook and turns him. Now Chan has his back to the cage.
Hunt lands a nice elbow.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mike Hunt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hunt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mike Hunt spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
