Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Urias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Valens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urias's entrance music is Here comes the BOOM. A fine choice. Valens has chosen Mariachi Vargas - El Jarabe Tapatio as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Miguel Urias has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Miguel Urias seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Valens! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Urias misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Urias scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Urias wants to stand but Valens has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Valens is trying to stand up here but Urias is controlling him well. Urias is trying to control the action in half guard but Valens is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Valens throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

It looks like Jimmy Valens has been cut. Valens thows a body kick. Urias tries to catch it but that hurt him. Urias is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Valens throws a hook but Urias blocks it. Valens takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Nice body kick there by Urias. Urias throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Urias throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Urias cracks Valens with an open hand slap. Valens throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Urias sees it coming and avoids it easily. Urias slips a straight right by Valens. Urias shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Urias is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Urias keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Valens's head. Valens really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Urias. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Urias is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Valens has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Urias off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Valens throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Urias sees it coming and avoids it easily. Urias tries to clinch there but Valens circles away.

Valens throws a right and a left that Urias avoids nicely. Urias tries to clinch but Valens is having none of it. Urias scores with a takedown into Valens's guard. Urias might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Urias postures up and lands a big shot to Valens's brow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Urias with a flurry of punches that miss. Urias throws a big right hand that misses. Urias is looking to work some ground and pound but Valens has wrist control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Valens tries to land a sweep but no joy. Valens will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Urias darts in and clinches Valens up against the cage. Urias prevents Valens from breaking the clinch. Valens is trying to break free. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Urias lands an elbow inside that Valens shrugs off. Urias crunches a lovely knee into Valens's ribcage. Valens is trying to break free. Urias using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Urias pushes Valens back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Urias keeps control of Valens as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Urias dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jimmy Valens's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The fighters roll with the hold and Valens manages to kick Urias off! Urias jumps back into Valens's guard. Urias won't allow Valens to get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Urias lands a couple of digs.

Urias throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Valens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Urias looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Valens with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Urias is working for a kimura but Valens is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Urias lands a nice shot to the head. Valens is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Valens flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Valens is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Urias not landing any meaningful shots this time. Urias throwing shots but Valens is blocking nicely. Valens is refusing to be controlled, as Urias sits in half guard. Valens looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A jab from Valens misses. Valens sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Valens swinging wilding here.
Urias decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Urias is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Valens is just riding it out for now. Urias eventually gives up the hold. Urias ducked under it nicely. Jimmy Valens is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Urias has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Valens. Miguel Urias is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Urias is looking to land body kicks. Urias pushes Valens up against the cage in a clinch. Valens's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jimmy Valens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Valens throws a hook but Urias blocks it. Urias closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Valens breaks from the clinch.

Urias feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that's the end of the fight! Miguel Urias showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Urias, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
