Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velazques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velazques comes to the cage accompanied by Siempre Peligroso. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cain Velazques! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kimbo Rice! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velazques closes the distance and clinches up with Rice, looking for a takedown. Velazques pushes Rice against the cage but Rice circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Rice looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Velazques throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rice's waist but Rice gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Velazques off to one side. Velazques keeps the fight on the outside. Velazques moves into the clinch. Velazques landing knees to the head.
It looks like Kimbo Rice has been cut. Rice is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rice misses with a short punch on the inside. Velazques is struggling to control the position. Rice tries to break the clinch but Velazques is controlling the position. Velazques tries to score a body lock takedown but Rice shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cain Velazques. That's going to take a lot out of him. Velazques is trying to trip Rice. He has hold of a leg but Rice is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Velazques persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Rice looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Velazques showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Rice is working an open guard so Velazques takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velazques throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Velazques feints and as Rice raises his hands in defense, Velazques changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Velazques not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Velazques decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rice, up you get! Velazques shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Velazques looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rice tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rice tries to improve his position but Velazques has taken his back! Velazques has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Rice tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Velazques pushes Rice away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cain Velazques!
