Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Darrell Stephenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Ancuro! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ancuro throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Ancuro fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stephenson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ancuro sprawls well. He's pushed Stephenson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Stephenson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ancuro.
Stephenson moves out of range of the body kick. Stephenson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. A left and a right from Ancuro both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Darrell Stephenson has been cut. Stephenson takes a kick to the side of the head. Ancuro throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Stephenson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ancuro wants to stand up but Stephenson is controlling him. Stephenson scoring with punches to the head and body. Stephenson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stephenson chips away with some ground and pound. Stephenson works over Ancuro with some ground and pound from guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ancuro has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Stephenson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Stephenson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A head kick misses from Ancuro. Stephenson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Ancuro lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Ancuro goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Stephenson rushes Ancuro and presses him up against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Stephenson is breathing heavily. Stephenson is working for takedown but Ancuro is calmly controlling the position for now. Stephenson breaks from the clinch.
Ancuro lands a big head kick that sends Stephenson to the canvas! Ancuro follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Ancuro! Michael Ancuro looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I hit them. They hit the canvas. The ref stops the fight. This is how it is. Thanks guys.'.
