Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Bogart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bogart's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "Dutch National Anthem" by Het Wilhelmus. Welsh has chosen Lets Have A War as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bjorn Bogart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, TJ Welsh! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Welsh clinches up with Bogart and pushes him back against the cage. Welsh told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Bogart blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Welsh stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Welsh is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Welsh using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bogart has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Welsh working some nice short punches in the clinch. Welsh taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Bogart gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Welsh regains guard.
Welsh kicks Bogart off and gets to his feet. Welsh gets a double leg takedown into Bogart's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Welsh decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Bogart on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bogart defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Welsh. Welsh gets a double leg takedown into Bogart's guard. Welsh gets to his feet. Bogart looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! TJ Welsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Welsh gets a clinch. A right hand to the body from Welsh.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Welsh. Bogart is breathing heavily. Welsh connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bogart's face.

Welsh has picked Bogart up - he's going for a ride! Welsh dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Welsh wants to free his trapped foot but Bogart is holding on for dear life with his legs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Welsh with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Welsh works his foot free and advances to mount. Welsh gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Welsh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Welsh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Welsh tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bogart knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Welsh is looking for a kimura but Bogart is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Welsh to get the leverage. Bogart knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Welsh on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Welsh sitting and controlling from the half guard. Welsh tries to pass to full mount but Bogart defends it. Welsh performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Welsh is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bogart sees it coming and defends easily. Welsh is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Welsh decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Welsh has closed the distance and engaged Bogart in a clinch.
Bogart takes a knee to the side of the body. Welsh misses with a knee strike.
Welsh is trying to trip Bogart. He has hold of a leg but Bogart is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Welsh persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Bogart keeping moving, preventing Welsh from controlling successfully. Welsh gets to his feet. Bogart looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Welsh clinches with his opponent.

TJ Welsh dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bjorn Bogart's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bogart tries to sprawl but Welsh drives through with a takedown into half guard. Welsh is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Welsh seems to be looking for submissions.
Welsh has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Welsh works his way into side control. Welsh tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Welsh has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! TJ Welsh has got the better of the ground game so far. Welsh decides to take the fight back to the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Welsh shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bogart napping and manages to drive through into side control! Welsh stands up. Welsh moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Welsh leaning against his opponent.
Welsh throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Welsh crunches a lovely knee into Bogart's ribcage. Bogart has hold of one of Welsh's legs. Welsh is fighting the takedown attempt but Bogart gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Welsh is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bogart presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Welsh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Welsh closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Welsh lands in his opponent's guard. Welsh stands up from Bogart's guard - Welsh perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Welsh closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bogart to the mat! Bogart manages to get full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Welsh is stalling in the full guard. Welsh gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Welsh has taken the fight to the clinch.

Welsh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Welsh rushes Bogart and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The referee calls for Welsh to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bogart gets control of Welsh's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bogart will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Welsh gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Welsh has closed the distance and engaged Bogart in a clinch.

Welsh putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Bogart in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Welsh content to slow the pace in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Welsh has an Americana. Bogart didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Welsh is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Welsh hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). TJ Welsh! TJ Welsh bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
