And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jeremy Pettis!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis avoids the head kick by Leonardson.
No joy there for Leonardson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Leonardson misses with a combination
and Pettis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Leonardson throws a head kick that misses
and Pettis counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Leonardson throws a head kick that misses.
Leonardson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pettis.
Leonardson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pettis! But no joy.
Pettis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Pettis looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leonardson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pettis at a distance.
Leonardson thuds a left hand into Pettis's body.
Leonardson looks to land a combination but Pettis avoids it well.
Greer Leonardson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leonardson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pettis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pettis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

A shot to the body from Leonardson misses
and Pettis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Leonardson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Leonardson looks to throw a body kick
and Pettis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pettis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
It seemed like Pettis was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Leonardson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Leonardson throws a lazy head kick
and Pettis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


Leonardson is rocked!
Leonardson works Pettis's body with a nice hook.
Oh Leonardson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pettis cracks Leonardson on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Leonardson falls backwards against the cage. Pettis follows up with more strikes that drop Leonardson to his knees. Pettis keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Leonardson! This one is all over!
