Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hans Lankari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Bate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lankari comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Thunderstruck. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hans Lankari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Tyrone Bate! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lankari tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bate defends well and Lankari ends up having to push Bate into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Bate tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Bate throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Lankari went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Lankari tries for a takedown but Bate sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bate is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bate finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Lankari throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bate's waist but Bate gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lankari off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hans Lankari. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bate connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Bate gets the takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bate tries to move to mount but Lankari blocks the move with his legs. Lankari tries to bench press Bate off him but Bate keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bate just content to control the position. Lankari tries to bench press Bate off him but Bate keeps the position. Lankari is working hard here to advance position. Lankari is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bate's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Lankari is trying to maintain the position but Bate is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lankari is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Lankari is trying to stand up here but Bate is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lankari is pressing down on Bate's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Lankari can't keep his opponent in guard - Bate advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Lankari wants to get back to full guard but Bate has mounted him! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lankari tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lankari tries to hold on but Bate pushes him away. Lankari working to try and regain half guard.
Lankari tries to lock up and control but Bate gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bate controlling the position easily from mount. Bate lands with some strikes. Bate content just to control the position here. Lankari is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Kombat MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Lankari tries to reverse the position but Bate maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bate looking to control but Lankari is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lankari tries to hold on but Bate postures up. Lankari bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lankari throwing strikes from guard but Bate blocks nicely. Lankari tries to free his leg and advance position but Bate is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyrone Bate dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lankari has a takedown stuffed. Lankari fails to land the takedown. Despite the aggression on Bate's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Lankari tries for a takedown but Bate sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hans Lankari. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bate lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bate scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Lankari kicks off Bate and gets to his feet. Bate has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lankari fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Lankari closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bate did well to prevent Lankari getting side control. Lankari not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lankari throwing shots but Bate is blocking nicely. Lankari is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bate holds on and takes a little breather. Lankari passes Bate's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lankari wants to advance to full mount but Bate doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Bate is controlling Lankari's posture. Lankari passes into half guard. Lankari tries to stand and escape but Bate is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lankari works his way into side control. Bate prevents Lankari from improving position. Lankari sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bate is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Lankari tries to advance to mount but Bate denies him. Lankari swings around for an armbar but Bate sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lankari's guard. Hans Lankari overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lankari working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bate doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bate manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lankari managing to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hans Lankari dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

He's persisting with it as Bate sprawls well. Bate wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lankari gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hans Lankari. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lankari avoids a low kick by using good footwork. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lankari tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bate swivels and escapes. Bate defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lankari. Bate is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Lankari tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bate sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lankari somewhat.

Lankari drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bate sprawls and moves away. Lankari shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bate's guard. Lankari throwing strikes from guard but Bate blocks nicely. Lankari looking to pass the guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Bate's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Lankari postures up in Bate's guard and throws a big left but Bate blocks it. Bate is trying to keep Lankari in close.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Lankari fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bate shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Lankari fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bate tries a low kick but Lankari avoids it. An inside leg kick from Bate misses. Lankari shoots in looking for a takedown but Bate manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lankari's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bate throws a solid leg kick but Lankari takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bate.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bate misses with a low kick as Lankari jumps back. Lankari half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Lankari looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bate is fending him off so far but Lankari persists. Nope, Bate circles away and we're back to standing. Bate keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Lankari changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bate tries to avoid it but Lankari manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bate to the ground. Bate escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bate drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Lankari defends it well. Tyrone Bate seems to be getting the better of the standup. Lankari closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bate's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bate is pulling down on Lankari's head. It's preventing any offense from Lankari, at least for the moment. Lankari throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bate works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tyrone Bate. I think Bate has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
