The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamato gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Aldo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Aldo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Yamato looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Yamato looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Yamato!
Yamato tries to move into full mount but can't pass Aldo's legs.
Aldo is looking for a sweep.
Yamato tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yamato has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yamato is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Aldo looks calm but he's in trouble here. Yamato gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Aldo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Yamato lets go of the hold and Aldo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
