Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Cardoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake McDaniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardoza comes to the cage accompanied by Holy See. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luis Cardoza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake McDaniel!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoza fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McDaniel throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Luis Cardoza has been cut.
McDaniel paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
McDaniel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McDaniel connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cardoza momentarily.
Cardoza takes a shot right to the bread basket.
McDaniel throws an off balance right hand
and Cardoza counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
McDaniel tries to kick Cardoza off in order to stand up. Cardoza Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
McDaniel is looking to regain half guard here but Cardoza keeps moving and retains side control.
McDaniel looks to move to half guard but instead Cardoza has passed into mount! Damn!
McDaniel is looking to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McDaniel defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cardoza.
McDaniel is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Cardoza has taken his back.
Cardoza looking for the RNC.
McDaniel is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Cardoza off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
McDaniel defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Cardoza's arms.
Cardoza is working for a rear naked choke. McDaniel is not defending it well and Cardoza has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! McDaniel refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of McDaniel's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Luis Cardoza!
In his post fight interview, Luis Cardoza started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
