Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mustafiq Rana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Jaso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rana comes to the cage accompanied by Spaceman. Mustafiq Rana had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mustafiq Rana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Jaso!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rana is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jaso sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rana looks for a takedown but Jaso sprawls well.
A little jabbing left from Jaso on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jaso rushes Rana and presses him up against the cage.
Rana tries to score a body lock takedown but Jaso shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mustafiq Rana. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rana gets underhooks to prevent Jaso's takedown attempt.
Jaso jumps into guard, dragging Rana to the mat.
Rana definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jaso working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rana doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rana manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jaso wants to improve his position but instead Rana has moved into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rana tries to pass to full mount but Jaso defends it.
Rana is trying to control the action in half guard but Jaso is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Rana is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Jaso keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jaso wants to get back to full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Jaso stalks Rana and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rana's face. Rana staggers backwards, shaken.
Jaso misses with a straight left.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jaso throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rana sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Rana enables Jaso to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rana manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Rana preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rana has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jaso should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rana has tightened it up now! Jaso should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Mustafiq Rana!
