Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cortland Cartwright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartwright's entrance music is St. Anger. A fine choice. Mirko Filipovic will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Filipovic throws a low kick but Cartwright avoids it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Filipovic, as that shot connected.
Cartwright throws a wild body kick that Filipovic sees coming a mile off.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Filipovic! But no joy.
Cartwright feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Filipovics jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cartwright thuds a left hand into Filipovic's body.
A combination from Cartwright does no damage.
That kick from Filipovic tenderised Cartwright's leg. Cartwright is trying to keep his angry face on.
Filipovic scores with a head kick.
Filipovic blocks a jab.
Filipovic scores with a head kick. Cartwright tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Cartwright is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Filipovic moves out of range as Cartwright strikes.
Cartwright on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Cartwright cracks a nice hook into Filipovic's ribs.
Filipovic lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Filipovic.
Oh Cartwright is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cartwright throws a big shot that misses.
Cartwright seems to have got his legs back now.
Filipovic sends Cartwright crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Filipovic is motioning to the referee to let Cartwright up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Filipovic connects with a leg kick. Cartwright looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cartwright throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Filipovic.
Filipovic swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Cartwright loads up on a big right hand but Filipovic slips the punch.
Filipovic throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Filipovic is looking to slow Cartwright down with leg kicks.
Cartwright throws a series of punches but Filipovic avoids them all with ease.
Filipovic feints and then cracks Cartwright's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cartwright down.
Cartwright looks for the body kick but Filipovic saw that one coming.
Filipovic lands a big uppercut and Cartwright crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cartwright looks OK. Filipovic waves Cartwright back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cartwright jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Filipovic uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A nice leg kick lands there from Filipovic.
Filipovic throws a head kick that misses.
Cartwright misses with a body shot.
Filipovic has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Filipovic scores with a kick to the midsection.
Filipovic throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Cartwright crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
