Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Vantuiese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Back Then as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a body punch
and Vantuiese counters with an outside leg kick.
Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like Mike Jones has been cut.
Jones lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Vantuiese at a distance.
Vantuiese's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Vantuiese scrambles back to his feet.

Vantuiese scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Vantuiese uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones cracks Vantuiese with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Vantuiese drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jones sprawls and moves away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vantuiese lands an uppercut.
Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Vantuiese won't allow it.
Jones wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Vantuiese has Jones pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jones manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Vantuiese using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jones has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Vantuiese tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Vantuiese makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

A jab from Jones finds it's way through Vantuiese's defenses.
Mike Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones throws a series of punches but Vantuiese avoids them all with ease.
Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Vantuiese dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Vantuiese attempts a counter takedown but Jones avoids it well and moves away.
Jones cracks a nice hook into Vantuiese's ribs.
Vantuiese slips under a jab from Jones.
Vantuiese takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vantuiese goes for a double leg but Jones avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jones continues to drive forward.
Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Vantuiese off the cage and back into range.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vantuiese manages to avoid it.
Vantuiese appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Jones throws the left hand but Vantuiese avoids the punch easily.
Vantuiese is looking to counter the offense by Jones and move into the clinch.
Jones throws a big shot that misses.
Vantuiese doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jones changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Vantuiese counters with a takedown into side control.

Jones throws Vantuiese to one side and escapes!
A punch lands to the side of Vantuiese 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Vantuiese on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Vantuiese off the cage and back into range.
Vantuiese takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones takes a swing at Vantuiese's ribcage but misses.
Vantuiese tries to counter by clinching up but Jones breaks away and moves out of range.
Jones lands a right hook to the body.
Jones jabs Vantuiese right on the nose. Vantuiese blinks but takes it well.
Mike Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones lands a lovely overhand right.

Vantuiese is rocked!

Jones drops Vantuiese with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Vantuiese! Jones dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
