PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aecio Neves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Imanali Gadisov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neves comes into the arena with Aécio Neves Jingle blaring out of the sound system. Aecio Neves had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Imanali Gadisov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neves swings away with a body shot that misses

and Gadisov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Neves won't be happy with that.
We've been hearing good reports from Neves's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Gadisov lands an elbow.
Neves can't do much from the bottom here.
Gadisov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Neves keeps working.
Neves is trying to improve his position.
Gadisov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Gadisov looks up at the clock and then as Neves takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gadisov smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Neves takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Neves is rocked!
Gadisov scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Neves is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Gadisov can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
