Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arnoldo Farley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doug Stampede!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stampede misses with a takedown
and Farley counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Stampede gets tackled into the cage by Farley. Farley maintains the clinch.
Farley is pressed up against the cage. Stampede has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Farley down to the mat. Farley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A punch combination from Farley misses.
Stampede throws a nice inside leg kick.
Farley chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Farley leaves Stampede with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Arnoldo Farley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doug Stampede.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stampede decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Farley makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stampede breaks the clinch.
Stampede misses with a few strikes there.
Farley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Stampede manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Stampede clinches.
Farley lands a knee to the head.

Stampede jumps into guard, dragging Farley to the mat.
Farley with a flurry of punches that miss.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Stampede holds on and takes a little breather.

Farley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Stampede wriggles free and stands up.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nice takedown defense from Farley. No joy for Stampede on that attempt.
Stampede looks winded!

Farley takes the fight into the clinch.
Farley fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Knees to the body from Farley.
Farley will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Stampede up against the cage.

Farley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Stampede shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Farley as he avoids it easily.
Stampede tries to clinch up.

Stampede clinches with his opponent.
Farley prevents a body shot from Stampede.
Stampede jumps guard but Farley stands there with Stampede around his waist. Stampede gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Farley tries to land a knee to the head but Stampede blocks with his arms.
Stampede is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Farley is defending well for now.
Farley's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Stampede misses with a body punch.
Farley controlling the action here for a moment.
Farley landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Stampede escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stampede falls off balance throwing a combination

and Farley counters with a nice double leg into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnoldo Farley dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Farley looks to land a combination but Stampede avoids it well.
Stampede tries to counter by closing the distance.
Stampede shoots in looking for a takedown but Farley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stampede's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stampede misses with a low kick.

Stampede darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Stampede prevents Farley from improving his position.
Farley is looking to control Stampede's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Farley avoid being mounted?

Farley tries to kick Stampede off but Stampede keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Farley tries to roll over but Stampede keeps him under control.

Stampede is trying to control. Farley wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Stampede is breathing heavily.
Farley controlling the position well.

Stampede decides to return to a standing position.
Farley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Farley tries to clinch but Stampede moves out of range.
Farley lands a jab to Stampede's midsection.
Stampede tries for a takedown but Farley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Stampede misses with a low kick.
Farley goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Farley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stampede was covering up waiting for the punch and Farley finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Stampede wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Farley manages to pass to side control.
Stampede is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Farley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Farley's back!

Farley looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Doug Stampede has got the better of the ground game so far.

Stampede working for a choke but Farley is defending well.
Farley manages to reverse the position and now he's in Stampede's guard. Nice work there by Farley.
Farley scoring with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Farley slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Stampede.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stampede is trying to stand.
Farley slips a nice elbow through Stampede's hands, connecting with Stampede's forehead.
Farley seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Stampede throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Farley manages to pass to side control.
Farley scoring with punches and elbows.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stampede can't do much from the bottom here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnoldo Farley dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Farley doesn't manage to clinch there - Stampede circles away.
Farley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stampede with a lazy takedown attempt
and Farley counters with a nice body shot.
Farley dives in and grabs Stampede's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stampede pushes down on Farley's head and hops out.
Farley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stampede can do to turn this around?
Stampede fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Farley avoids it really well and circles away.

Farley tries to work over Stampede's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Stampede with the counter takedown but Farley avoids it easily.

Stampede fails to pull guard.
Farley tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Stampede takes a shot to the head.

Farley taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Stampede wants a takedown.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Farley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Farley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Farley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Farley leaves Stampede with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Farley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Farley is looking to slow Stampede down with leg kicks.
Farley throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Stampede's head.

Farley clinches with his opponent.
A shot in the inside from Farley.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Farley obliges.
