Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogan Aye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns has chosen Rock Master Scott & The Dynamic Three - The Roof Is On Fire as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shogan Aye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Burns! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aye misses with an uppercut
enabling Burns to counter with a crisp jab. A big left from Aye misses. Burns chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Burns stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Burns wants it to stay on the feet. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Burns has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Brian Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burns misses with a looping left. Burns throws a leg kick that is checked enabling Aye to counter with a crisp jab. Burns scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Aye fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Burns checks it well. Burns misses with a lunging right hand
and Aye makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Aye misses with a shot to the body enabling Burns to counter with a crisp jab. Aye throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Burns wants to slow Aye down by chopping away at his legs. Aye half committed to a counter leg kick. Burns with a body punch. A glancing blow. A chopping leg kick lands by Burns. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Burns ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Aye scores with a kick to the body.
Burns feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Aye's calf. Burns tries to work over Aye's front leg with a kick but Aye checks it. It looked like Aye was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Burns. Burns swings for the body but Aye moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns lands a nice looking kick to the body. Aye takes a step back to recover. A bone on bone clash there as Aye blocks the leg kick.
Aye seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Burns tests Aye's chin there with a solid looking shot. Aye's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Burns connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Aye scrambles back to his feet. The fighters circle momentarily. Burns darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Burns takes the fight into the clinch. Aye taking a breather. Aye lands a nice shot to the body. Burns takes a shot to the head. A right hook to the body lands for Burns.

Burns tries to throw a body punch but Aye avoids it by throwing Burns back against the cage. Aye has a couple of punches blocked by Burns.
Aye digs a right hand into Burns's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Burns's gas tank. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Burns throws a punch but it's blocked by Aye. Aye blocks an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns lands a right hand. Burns escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aye throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Burns was covering up waiting for the punch and Aye finishes the takedown easily into guard. Burns is trying to control the position from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aye accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Aye wants to control from the top but Burns keeps moving. Burns is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aye stopping the sweep attempt from Burns. Burns is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Aye is aware though and is defending well. Burns had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Aye defends it easily. Aye looking to sit in guard and control but Burns gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Burns loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Burns working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Aye's head. Burns lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aye looking to hit a scissor sweep but Burns is one step ahead there. Burns pushing down on Aye's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Aye is looking to control Burns's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Aye avoid being mounted? Aye is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Burns is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Burns has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ground and pound from Burns. Aye has hold of Burns's hands but Burns slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Burns wants to control but Aye is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Burns is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Aye gets back to full guard.

Brian Burns dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Aye swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Aye tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burns sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aye somewhat. Burns throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Aye throws a body punch but Burns moves out of range. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Burns, as that shot connected.
Burns is looking to clinch. Burns blocks a jab. Burns swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Aye blocks a jab. Aye misses with a body shot.
Burns has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Burns lands a slapping body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aye throws the left hand but Burns avoids the punch easily. Burns tries a quick counter leg kick but Aye is wise to it. Burns looks to score with a jab to the body but Aye is just out of range. Burns jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Burns wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Aye with a lazy takedown attempt and Burns counters with a right hand to the body. Burns throws an overhand right that lands on Aye's shoulder, as Aye tries to avoid the shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Brian Burns seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd cheers as Burns lands an impressive looking overhand right. Aye doesn't seem phased though. Burns avoids the body shot from Aye.
Burns lands a glancing blow to the side of Aye's head. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Burns - that will leave a mark!
Aye displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Burns throws out the jab. Aye appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Burns uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Aye. Aye's corner calls for a 1-2. Aye obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Aye misses with a left hand and Burns counters with a takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Burns working the body and head with strikes. Aye is looking for a sweep. Burns lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Burns works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Aye gets back to half guard. Burns throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Burns seems content to control. Aye is not content to let Burns control the position. Burns working the head and body with strikes. Burns missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Burns sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Aye defending well though. Burns slips a nice elbow through Aye's hands, connecting with Aye's forehead. Aye on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Aye is staying active underneath Burns, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Aye trying to control but Burns postures up.
Burns seems to be looking for submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Burns. Burns lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Burns looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aye with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Burns throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Aye tries to roll over but Burns keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burns not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Aye taking some punishment here, with Burns in his half guard. Burns is keen to just control but Aye is a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Burns missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Burns is trying to control. Aye wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Brian Burns has got the better of the ground game so far. Aye regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Burns. Burns throws an elbow that misses. Aye uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Burns's guard. Nice move by Aye!
Burns is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Aye working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Burns wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Aye is now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Burns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

That sent Aye stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burns fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Aye has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Burns pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Aye throws a solid leg kick but Burns takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Aye. Aye throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Burns on the side of the head. Burns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aye manages to avoid it.

Burns wants to land a leg kick but Aye is out of range. Burns darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Burns clinches up with Aye and pushes him back against the cage. Burns misses with the head strike.

Burns throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Aye tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Aye will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Burns up against the cage. Aye struggles to land a body shot inside as Burns controls his hands.
Brian Burns is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aye lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Aye is pushing Burns up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Aye scores with a nice hook to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Aye. Burns lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Aye misses with a hook to the ribs.

Aye lands a hook to the side of the head. Aye is trying to drag Burns to the mat but Burns just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Aye has a couple of punches blocked by Burns.

Burns misses with a hook from the clinch. Aye can't find room to land a body shot as Burns controls the action.
And that's the end of the fight! Shogan Aye showed his dominance in that final round. I think Burns has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
