Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mako Choliman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fyodor Pending (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fyodor Pending will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mako Choliman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
46 - 68 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fyodor Pending! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Pending leaves Choliman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pending! But no joy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Choliman. Pending should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choliman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Choliman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's one minute gone in the round. Pending taking a bit of punishment here - Choliman scoring with strikes. Pending tries to improve position but can't. Choliman just content to control the position. Pending takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Choliman working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Pending trying to remain calm as Choliman controls from the top position. Choliman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Choliman landing a few strikes. Choliman lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Pending tries to improve position but can't. Pending takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Choliman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Choliman is putting a hurting on Pending here, landing some big shots from side control. Choliman working the ground and pound from side control. Choliman scores with a couple of short elbows.
Pending is rocked! Choliman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Pending to see if he's OK. Pending is still in real trouble! Can Choliman finish him? Choliman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pending is working to avoid the ground and pound but Choliman connects with a decent elbow. Choliman cracks Pending with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Choliman immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Pending is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Choliman!
