Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dedrick Sledge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sledge lands a right hook to the body.
Maddox dives in and scores a takedown into Sledge's guard.
Sledge keeping moving, preventing Maddox from controlling successfully.
Sledge is pulling down on Maddox's head to control his posture.
Maddox pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sledge is keeping the position for now.
Sledge looking for a guillotine here but Maddox defends easily.

Sledge forces his way into half guard.
Maddox is not content to let Sledge control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sledge is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maddox sees it coming and defends easily.
Sledge has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sledge can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Maddox is looking to escape.
Sledge lands a nice shot to the head.
Sledge landing punches.
Maddox is in a horrible position here. Sledge smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Maddox is rocked!
Maddox takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Sledge's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
