PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JT Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redman has chosen Breathe as his entrance music. JT Redman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Glass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
20 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, JT Redman!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glass fails to land with a series of punches.
Glass gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Redman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Martin Glass has been cut.
Glass tries to clinch there but Redman circles away.
Redman has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Glass is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Glass really is a fat lump.
Redman feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Glass sprawling to the canvas! Glass rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Redman finish him?!
Redman moves out of range of the leg kick from Glass.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Redman throws a pinpoint strike between Glass's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Glass crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Redman scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). JT Redman!
JT Redman tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
