Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vain Celasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Celasquez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kid Frost - La Raza. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Hunter!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vain Celasquez!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ron Honeybunn and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Celasquez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Hunter scores with a jab to the body.
Hunter fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Celasquez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hunter throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Celasquez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hunter. That's going to slow Celasquez down.
Hunter throws a head kick that half lands.
Hunter fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hunter lands with a thumping leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hunter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Celasquez's sensitive parts.
Celasquez works the jab nicely.

Celasquez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Good leg kick by Hunter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Celasquez doesn't manage to clinch there - Hunter circles away.
Mark Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Celasquez misses with a hook.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hunter, right into the meat.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hunter.
Hunter lands with a hook. Celasquez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

A head kick lands from Hunter that sends Celasquez to the canvas. Celasquez tries to scramble back to his feet but Hunter brings him back down into side control.


Celasquez is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hunter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Celasquez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hunter slows the pace down.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hunter wants to control but Celasquez is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunter tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Celasquez parries the strikes from Hunter easily there. Hunter is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Celasquez to escape.
Hunter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Celasquez keeps working.
Hunter tries to score with some ground and pound. Celasquez controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hunter trying to control the action but Celasquez is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Good leg kick by Hunter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hunter.
Hunter is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hunter throws a leg kick which misses Celasquez's front leg but catches the back leg as Celasquez tries to avoid it.
Celasquez takes a kick to the side of the head.
Mark Hunter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hunter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
We've been told by Hunter's head coaches at Fokai Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A big head kick from Hunter and Celasquez is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Celasquez is still in real trouble! Can Hunter finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunter controls from within his opponent's guard.
Celasquez seems to have recovered his senses.

Hunter with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hunter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hunter trying to control but Celasquez is working from the bottom.
Celasquez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hunter wants to control from the top but Celasquez keeps moving.
You can see that Celasquez has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks
Celasquez is controlling Hunter's posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Hunter dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Hunter throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Celasquez stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Hunter follows into mount!


It looks like Vain Celasquez has been cut.
Celasquez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hunter tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Celasquez in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Celasquez is working to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hunter lands a big shot there that rocks Celasquez but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hunter cracks Celasquez with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Hunter!
