Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sherwood Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moraun Saviste (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saviste throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Monroe was covering up waiting for the punch and Saviste finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Monroe wants to get back to his feet but Saviste is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Monroe keeping moving, preventing Saviste from controlling successfully.
Monroe is controlling Saviste's posture.
Saviste must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Monroe pushes Saviste off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Monroe on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Saviste trying to control the position from guard on top but Monroe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Saviste throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Saviste closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Monroe's guard.
Monroe pulls Saviste in close to his closed guard and prevents Saviste from doing any damage or advancing position.
Saviste wants to stand but Monroe is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That's time! Monroe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Saviste fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Monroe sprawls well initially but Saviste persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Monroe is pushing Saviste's head away, looking to escape. Saviste manages to hold on to the position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Saviste feints and then cracks Monroe's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Monroe down.
Monroe changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saviste tries to avoid it but Monroe manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saviste to the ground. Saviste escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sherwood Monroe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Saviste shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Saviste showed some decent athleticism there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saviste sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Moraun Saviste showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Saviste has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Saviste wants to stand and escape but instead Monroe has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Saviste dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Monroe misses with a takedown attempt - Saviste sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Saviste throws a head kick that misses.
Monroe went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Saviste goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Saviste comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Saviste moves into the clinch successfully.
Monroe tries to land knees in the clinch but Saviste avoids the damage to the body.

Saviste has clasped his hands together around Monroe's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The ground and pound from Saviste seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Saviste stands up.
Saviste closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Monroe is trying to escape back to his feet but Saviste uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Well Saviste has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
