Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hirohito Kalavinkato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duke Rage! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalavinkato looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kalavinkato is stalling in the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kalavinkato pushes down on Rage's leg and manages to get into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalavinkato seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rage for as long as he can get away with. Rage trying to control from the bottom.
Kalavinkato content to control rather than advance. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Duke Rage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rage pushes Kalavinkato up against the ropes in a clinch. Rage misses with a hook from the clinch. Kalavinkato is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rage is defending well. Rage keeps control of Kalavinkato as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Rage scores with a shoulder strike. A short uppercut from Rage.
It looks like Hirohito Kalavinkato has been cut. Rage lands a left hand.
A short body shot lands from Rage as the two fighters clinch.
Kalavinkato tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kalavinkato throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rage blocks it with crossed arms. A quick uppercut on the inside from Rage. Rage lands with a right to the head. Rage presses Kalavinkato against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Kalavinkato is breathing heavily. Rage taking a breather. Rage is trying to stall.
Rage is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Rage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Rage. Kalavinkato struggles to land a body shot inside as Rage controls his hands.
Rage lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kalavinkato. Still in the clinch, Rage scores with a nice short uppercut.
Kalavinkato is rocked! Rage digs a right hand underneath Kalavinkato's ribcage. Kalavinkato let out a lung full of air as it connected. Oh Kalavinkato is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rage lands a big right hand that drops Kalavinkato! The killer instinct kicks in and Rage finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Rage!
