Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sergio Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, ed gein! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up but gein swats him away and circles back towards the center. gein drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Perez looking to hit a scissor sweep but gein is one step ahead there. gein trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. gein gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Perez shoots and misses and gein counters with a nice double leg into guard. gein thows a big elbow that misses. gein throwing strikes but missing. gein throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. gein won't allow Perez to get back to his feet. gein wants to control from the top but Perez keeps moving. Perez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. gein gets to his feet - Perez follows without any prompting. Perez closes the distance and lands a one-two. gein looks gassed! Perez doesn't succeed with the takedown and gein counters by clinching up. Perez is trying to maintain a safe position but gein gets an underhook and turns Perez into the cage. gein breaks from the clinch.
Perez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with gein but gein pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergio Perez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Perez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. gein is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
