Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Adama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Shota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shota has chosen Sounds from the Motherland as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Adrian Shota was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adama tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Adama has closed the distance and engaged Shota in a clinch.

Shota lands with a light punch inside.

Shota misses with a knee strike.
Shota tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Adama misses with an elbow over the top.
Shota connects with a nasty looking knee right to Adama's face.
Adama comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Shota misses with a knee strike.
Shota unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Shota throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Shota.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Adama takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like William Adama has been cut.
Adama taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Shota tries to land a knee to the head but Adama blocks with his arms.
Shota lands a nice uppercut.
Shota tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Adama's elbow.

Shota lands an elbow inside.
Adama effectively controlling the action here.
Adama throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Adama misses with an elbow over the top.
A right handed body shot lands from Shota.
Shota landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Adama stalling in the clinch but Shota improves position.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Shota just misses with a elbow thrown towards Adama's brow.

Adama is rocked!
Shota has Adama pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Adama is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Shota - that's hurt Adama badly! Oh, another knee lands and Adama is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Adama doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Adrian Shota!
Adrian Shota was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
