Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hanzo Hasashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Bodahl! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bodahl gets the takedown into side control. Bodahl wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hasashi, who protects the arm well. Bodahl swings around for an armbar but Hasashi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bodahl's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bodahl wants to sweep here but Hasashi controlling him for the moment. Bodahl has his hands on Hasashi's head, controlling the position. Hasashi sitting in guard here, content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hasashi preventing the sweep. Bodahl trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Hasashi looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hasashi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hasashi with a hook. Bodahl shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hasashi is trying to defend but Bodahl finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bodahl is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hasashi! Hasashi has given up his back.

Hasashi is defending well but eventually Bodahl manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hasashi has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
