Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raymundo Sellers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Avreliy! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Avreliy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sellers's half guard. Sellers has one foot on Avreliy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Sellers moves into range and clinches up with Avreliy. Knees to the body from Sellers.
Avreliy breaks from the clinch.
Sellers moves into the clinch. Sellers blocking some punches.
Sellers throws a punch but it's blocked by Avreliy. Avreliy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Avreliy gets tackled into the cage by Sellers. Sellers maintains the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sellers is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Avreliy is defending well for now. Avreliy has Sellers pushed against the cage. Sellers leaning his opponent against the cage. Avreliy prevents a body shot from Sellers.
That's one minute gone in the round. Avreliy lands a shoulder strike. Avreliy is trying to push Sellers away but Sellers has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Sellers is leaning against Avreliy and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Sellers lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Mark Avreliy has been cut. A body shot lands from Sellers.

Avreliy taking a breather. Avreliy pulls guard effortlessly. Avreliy avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sellers is looking to work some ground and pound but Avreliy has wrist control. Avreliy will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Avreliy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Avreliy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sellers manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Avreliy rushes Sellers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Come on Sellers - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Sellers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sellers throws a lazy head kick and Avreliy counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Raymundo Sellers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fight moves into the clinch position. Avreliy looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Avreliy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Avreliy is looking to break free of the clinch but Sellers has double underhooks. Avreliy wants to break free but Sellers has control.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Avreliy is trying to maintain a safe position but Sellers gets an underhook and turns Avreliy into the cage. Avreliy has hold of one of Sellers's legs. Sellers is fighting the takedown attempt but Avreliy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Sellers looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Avreliy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Sellers looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sellers is breathing heavily. Avreliy trying to control the position from guard on top but Sellers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Sellers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Avreliy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sellers drives through and clinches with Avreliy against the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Raymundo Sellers will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mark Avreliy's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sellers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Avreliy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Avreliy throws a big right hand that misses. Avreliy trying to control the position from guard on top but Sellers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Avreliy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Avreliy throws a big elbow that misses. Avreliy trying to control but Sellers is working from the bottom. Sellers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sellers wants to sweep here but Avreliy controlling him for the moment. Avreliy lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Sellers has his foot on Avreliy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Avreliy works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sellers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Avreliy defends well. Avreliy working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sellers's head. Sellers is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Avreliy off and has taken his back! Avreliy trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Sellers has Avreliy flattened out and is raining down punches. Sellers keeps control of the position as Avreliy tries to break free.

Avreliy wants to hold on but Sellers pushes him away. Avreliy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sellers has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Avreliy's face.

Sellers clinches up with Avreliy and pushes him back against the cage. Avreliy gets a trip takedown into half guard. Sellers looking for submissions from an awkward position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Avreliy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mark Avreliy's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Avreliy persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Avreliy wants to stand but Sellers has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sellers looking to control.

Avreliy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Avreliy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Avreliy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Avreliy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sellers working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Avreliy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Avreliy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Avreliy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Avreliy is in close to Sellers's body, working some short punches and elbows.
