Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benedict Oneal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marian Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oneal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kowalski to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Oneal has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kowalski has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Kowalski stalls.
Kowalski is trying to break the clinch but Oneal is controlling him.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Oneal has picked Kowalski up - he's going for a ride! Oneal dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kowalski looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Oneal gets full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kowalski shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Oneal manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Oneal manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kowalski manages to get himself to full guard.
Kowalski uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Kowalski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Oneal holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Oneal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kowalski is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kowalski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oneal napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Oneal tries to get back to half guard but can't.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kowalski remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kowalski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oneal is looking for a counter combo.

Oneal is pressing down on Kowalski's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kowalski wants to control from the top but Oneal keeps moving.
Kowalski is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kowalski lands a big right hook! Oneal looks hurt but is still standing! Kowalski lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Oneal falls down and Kowalski dives in with a huge hammer fist! Oneal's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Kowalski runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marian Kowalski!
