Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harald Udd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Juan Peas!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Udd scores with a jab to the jaw.
Udd rushes Peas and presses him up against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Udd.
Peas pulls guard.
Udd advances to half guard.
Udd controlling the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Peas moves into full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Peas has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Udd tries to clinch but Peas is having none of it.
Udd throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Peas on the side of the head.
Peas swats away the attempt to clinch by Udd.
As Udd backs off Peas throws a huge counter combo but Udd manages to avoid it all.
Peas dives in and grabs Udd's left leg, looking for a takedown. Udd pushes down on Peas's head and hops out.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Udd lands a jab.
A jab from Udd finds it's way through Peas's defenses.
Udd lands a left and a right that send Peas crashing to the mat, dazed. Udd thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Juan Peas has been cut.
Udd fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A little jabbing left from Peas on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A punch combination from Peas misses.
Peas shoots for a takedown but Udd saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Peas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Peas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Harald Udd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Peas.
Udd stuffs the takedown.
Peas walks into a stiff left hand from Udd.
The crowd cheers as Udd lands an impressive looking overhand right. Peas doesn't seem phased though.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Udd scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Peas shoots and misses
and Udd cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Peas is rocked!
Harald Udd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peas looks winded!
Udd digs a good hook to Peas's body.
Udd rushes Peas and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Peas is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Udd Piles on the pressure and Peas crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
