Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Razval Saraev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kimmo Kiiruna!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiiruna throws a left and a right that both miss

and Saraev counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Saraev.
Saraev postures up in Kiiruna's guard and throws a big left but Kiiruna blocks it.
Saraev trying to control but Kiiruna is working from the bottom.

Saraev stops Kiiruna from standing up.
Saraev postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saraev wants to control from the top but Kiiruna keeps moving.

Kiiruna is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Saraev dives into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saraev has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Kiiruna's body.

Kiiruna really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Saraev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Saraev is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kiiruna looks like he's trying to stand up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Saraev connects with a nice short shot to Kiiruna's temple.

Saraev is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kiiruna can do to turn this around?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saraev is landing with some decent strikes but Kiiruna is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Saraev postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Kiiruna in real trouble here! The ref calls for Kiiruna to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
