Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cain Dos Anos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicklas Porsing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cain Dos Anos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nicklas Porsing!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Anos scores with a hook to the body. Porsing takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Porsing tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Dos Anos paws at him with a jab and circles away.
It looked like Dos Anos wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Dos Anos moves into the clinch.
Porsing prevents a body shot from Dos Anos.
A short uppercut from Dos Anos.
Porsing wants to take the fight to the mat but Dos Anos manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Porsing jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dos Anos walks away with a smile on his face. Porsing gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Porsing fails to land the takedown.
Dos Anos is looking for a counter combo.
Cain Dos Anos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicklas Porsing.
Dos Anos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dos Anos misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Porsing is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dos Anos pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Dos Anos connects with a leg kick. Porsing looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Porsing takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Porsing fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Porsing goes for a double leg but Dos Anos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Dos Anos continues to drive forward.
Dos Anos tries a head kick but it misses.

Dos Anos moves into range and clinches up with Porsing.
Porsing is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Dos Anos gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Porsing is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Dos Anos lands a left hand that snaps the head of Porsing backwards.

Dos Anos manages to break the clinch.
Dos Anos scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Porsing shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dos Anos counters with a head kick. That will keep Porsing thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Porsing shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dos Anos as he avoids it easily.
It looked like Dos Anos was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Porsing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dos Anos closes the distance and clinches.
Dos Anos lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Dos Anos can't find room to land a body shot as Porsing controls the action.
Dos Anos tries to work over Porsing's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Dos Anos throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Dos Anos misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Dos Anos looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Dos Anos tightens his grip and picks Porsing up, before dumping him to the ground. Porsing manages to land in guard.
Dos Anos working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Porsing's head.
Porsing tries to strike from the bottom.
Dos Anos wants to pass the guard but Porsing is keeping the position.
Dos Anos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Porsing on the ground.

Dos Anos throws an elbow that misses. Porsing uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dos Anos's guard. Nice move by Porsing!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Porsing won't allow Dos Anos to sweep him here.
Porsing is fighting to break Dos Anos's control of his arms but Dos Anos is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Porsing fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dos Anos avoids it really well and circles away.
Dos Anos misses the shot to the body.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dos Anos pushes Porsing up against the ropes in a clinch.
Porsing has Dos Anos pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Dos Anos manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Dos Anos lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Dos Anos presses Porsing against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Porsing changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dos Anos fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Porsing closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dos Anos circles away.
Dos Anos feinted with a counter takedown.
Dos Anos throws a head kick that half lands.


Porsing is rocked!
Dos Anos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dos Anos lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

and Dos Anos counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Porsing!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cain Dos Anos dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Dos Anos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dos Anos lands in his opponent's guard.
Dos Anos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Porsing can do to turn this around?
Dos Anos is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Porsing is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dos Anos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dos Anos keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dos Anos is trying to maintain the position but Porsing is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dos Anos lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

As Porsing backs away, Dos Anos returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Dos Anos slips a jab and a cross from Porsing.
Dos Anos stuns Porsing with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Cain Dos Anos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dos Anos tries to score with some ground and pound. Porsing controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
You can see the frustration on Porsing's face as Dos Anos controls the position.
Dos Anos connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Porsing some visible discomfort.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Dos Anos buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dos Anos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dos Anos stuffs the takedown attempt from Porsing. Porsing gets slowly back to his feet.
Porsing shoots in and drives through. Dos Anos sprawls well.

Dos Anos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cain Dos Anos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Porsing utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Porsing wants to get back to his feet but Dos Anos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Porsing takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Porsing is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Porsing is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dos Anos defends well.
