Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Valenzuela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finn Balor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mickey Valenzuela!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Finn Balor!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valenzuela moves in looking to clinch but Balor pushes him off.

Valenzuela shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Valenzuela decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Valenzuela shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Balor is trying to defend but Valenzuela finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Valenzuela connects with a nice short shot to Balor's temple.
Balor wants to get back to his feet.

Balor is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Balor is trying to remain composed but Valenzuela is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Valenzuela throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Balor tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Valenzuela is in Balor's guard.
Balor is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Valenzuela dives into side control.
Balor pushes Valenzuela away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Valenzuela gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Valenzuela closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Balor's guard.

Balor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Balor can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Valenzuela controls the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Valenzuela fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Balor sprawls well initially but Valenzuela persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Balor scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Valenzuela manages to mount him!

That's time! Valenzuela's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Valenzuela ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Valenzuela no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
