Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leon Elasor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robbie Rose!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Elasor.
Elasor throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rose.
It looks like Robbie Rose has been cut.
Elasor leaves Rose with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rose takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Rose rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Elasor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rose tries for a takedown but Elasor circles away easily
and Elasor counters with a crisp one two that drops Rose! Elasor thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rose to his feet! Rose is in big trouble!
Rose is rocked!
Rose fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rose is still on wobbly legs! Can Elasor finish him?
Elasor with a nice cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rose is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Elasor just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Rose has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Leon Elasor!
A relieved looking Leon Elasor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
