Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Money (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Money's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Scarface - Dollar. Simmons has chosen Dog Wild Heaven as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Money!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Simmons!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Money closes the distance and clinches.
Money swings wildly with an uppercut but Simmons uses good head movement to avoid it.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Simmons.
Still in the clinch, Money scores with a nice short uppercut.
Simmons blocks an uppercut.
Money misses with a punch on the inside.
Simmons drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Money lands a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head punch on the inside from Money fails to land.
Simmons drops down looking for an ankle pick but Money pulls his leg out and moves away.
Simmons displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Money throws out the jab.
Simmons feints the counter takedown.
Simmons dives in and grabs Money's left leg, looking for a takedown. Money pushes down on Simmons's head and hops out.
Eddie Money has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Simmons.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Money looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Money misses with a left hand
and Simmons counters with a left and a right that stings Money.
Simmons shoots in for a takedown but Money shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Money throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Simmons shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Money pinned against the cage. Money gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Simmons slips under a jab from Money.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Simmons misses with a takedown attempt - Money sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Money swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Simmons gets a double leg takedown into Money's guard.

Simmons postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Money is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Simmons, into his guard.

Money wants to control from the top but Simmons keeps moving.

Simmons working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Money doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Money manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Money working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Simmons working for a triangle but Money defends it easily.
Simmons is pulling down on Money's head. It's preventing any offense from Money, at least for the moment.
Money postures up in Simmons's guard and throws a big left but Simmons blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Money chips away with some ground and pound.
Money throwing strikes but missing.
Simmons looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Simmons looking for a guillotine here but Money defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Money landing some decent shots from guard.

Money got a little sloppy there for a moment and Simmons has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Money has managed to get both his arms back between Simmons's legs - danger averted.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Money throws a big elbow that misses.
Money trying to control but Simmons is working from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Money looking to pass the guard.

Simmons working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Money doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Money manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Simmons is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Money rolls with it to try and escape but Simmons cranks on the arm and Money is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
