Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matvei Primack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matvei Primack looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matvei Primack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raul Mendez! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendez misses with a takedown and Primack counters with a takedown into side control. Primack lands an elbow. Mendez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Primack winds up and cracks Mendez with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Mendez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Primack is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Mendez is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Primack prevents Mendez from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Primack lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mendez manages to escape and get back to his feet! Primack shoots in looking for a takedown. Mendez tries to sprawl out of it but Primack keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mendez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mendez. Primack closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mendez circles away. Primack fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matvei Primack. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mendez. Mendez looks winded! Primack is not content to let Mendez control the position. Mendez is trying to get an arm triangle but Primack is defending well. Primack is trying to improve his position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mendez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mendez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mendez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Primack is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mendez yanks on the arm and Primack is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mendez.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Raul Mendez! A pretty intense looking Raul Mendez took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
