Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Belcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conner comes to the cage accompanied by The Man Who Sold The World. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jake Belcher was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wayne Conner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Belcher! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conner lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Belcher looks for a takedown but Conner sprawls well. Conner swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Belcher tries for a takedown but Conner circles away easily and Conner counters with a left to the body. Jake Belcher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fighters circle momentarily. Conner darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Belcher misses with a takedown attempt and Conner counters with a left to the body. Wayne Conner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Belcher. Conner getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Conner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Belcher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conner tries to avoid it but Belcher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conner to the ground. Conner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. As Belcher backs away, Conner returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. We've been told by Conner's head coaches at LOD: Lightning Kicks (MaxID250K) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Conner lands a jab. Good shot there by Conner. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Conner dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Belcher shoots in and drives through. Conner sprawls well. Belcher shoots in looking for a takedown. Conner tries to sprawl out of it but Belcher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Conner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conner stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Belcher walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Belcher takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Conner feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Belcher sprawling to the canvas! Belcher rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Conner finish him?!
Belcher is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Conner throws a leg kick which misses Belcher's front leg but catches the back leg as Belcher tries to avoid it. Belcher is still on wobbly legs! Can Conner finish him? Conner lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Conner lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Belcher up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Conner from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Belcher's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wayne Conner! A very excited looking Wayne Conner made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
