Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Fargus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fargus is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Let's Get It ONNNNNNN!!!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alan Fargus! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones scores with a shot to the body.
Fargus looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jones misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fargus is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Fargus, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Fargus against the cage but Fargus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones digs a good body shot into Fargus's ribs. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jones breaks from the clinch.
Jones misses with a head kick.
Jones clinches. Jones manages to pull guard.
Jones striking from the bottom here. Fargus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is pulling down on Fargus's head to control his posture. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fargus's guard. Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jones advances position into side control! Fargus seems a little lost for a moment, as Jones dominates the positioning. Fargus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Fargus taking punishment in the form of punches.
Jones looks up at the clock and then as Fargus takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jones smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jones lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fargus is looking for a sweep. Jones controlling from side mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones decides to take the fight back to the feet. Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jones pulls guard effortlessly. Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fargus thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fargus preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fargus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. Fargus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fargus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Fargus drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Fargus off! Fargus jumps back into Jones's guard. Fargus thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Jones had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fargus is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jones Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fargus's back instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fargus wants to escape the position.
Fargus is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Fargus tries to escape but Jones has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Fargus breaks Jones's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Jones throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fargus shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Fargus passes to side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Jones dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Jones looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jones is in close to Fargus's body, working some short punches and elbows. Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jones avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones controls the position from side control. Fargus is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control. Jones landing strikes. Fargus tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position. Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fargus to his feet. Fargus stuffs the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fargus counters with a takedown into side control. Fargus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jones, who protects the arm well. Fargus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fargus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jones sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jones is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to stand.
Fargus is trying to work for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
Fargus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fargus is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fargus is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now.

Jones shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Fargus counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fargus is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Fargus is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Fargus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Fargus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones rushes Fargus and presses him up against the cage. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones stuns Fargus with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fargus to the mat! Fargus manages to get full guard. Jones avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jones gets to his feet - Fargus follows without any prompting. Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fargus counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fargus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones pushes Fargus off and gets back to his feet.
Jones has closed the distance and engaged Fargus in a clinch.
Fargus drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jones gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably and Fargus counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fargus. Jones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fargus! Fargus is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones working for a guillotine from mount but Fargus is in no mood to give up. Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fargus is looking to escape. Jones looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fargus can't escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Alan Fargus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Fargus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
