Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Valenzuela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mazingar Zee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mazingar Zee will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mickey Valenzuela! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mazingar Zee! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valenzuela feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Zee being controlled here, momentarily. Valenzuela with a nice head shot there. Valenzuela is in close to Zee's body, working some short punches and elbows. Valenzuela stays in close to Zee's body and controls the position. Valenzuela has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Valenzuela lands a couple of elbows. Valenzuela is stalling in the full guard. Zee looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Valenzuela is one step ahead there. Valenzuela is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Valenzuela is in close to Zee's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zee is trying to control the position but Valenzuela postures up. Valenzuela chips away with some ground and pound. Valenzuela controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Zee wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Valenzuela is now in half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Zee shoots for a takedown but Valenzuela saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Valenzuela stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Valenzuela wants it to stay on the feet. It looked like Valenzuela was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Zee shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Valenzuela eats them both and turns towards Zee to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Mickey Valenzuela has been cut. Zee gets caught flat footed, as Valenzuela shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Zee looks winded! Valenzuela landing some decent shots from guard. Valenzuela lands a couple of elbows. Valenzuela distracts Zee with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Valenzuela lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Valenzuela controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Valenzuela lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valenzuela lands a couple of decent looking shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Valenzuela sitting in guard, not really doing much. Zee controls Valenzuela momentarily but Valenzuela frees himself. Valenzuela is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Valenzuela lands a couple of elbows. Zee working a defensive guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Valenzuela seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Zee not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Valenzuela lands a couple of decent looking shots. Valenzuela really is a fat lump. Zee wants to sweep but no luck. Valenzuela keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zee's head. Zee has momentary wrist control but Valenzuela slips an elbow through the middle. Valenzuela is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Valenzuela is working Zee over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Valenzuela controls the pace. Valenzuela gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Zee throws a sloppy head kick and Valenzuela counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zee won't be happy with that. Valenzuela decides to stand up, so the ref orders Zee to his feet. Valenzuela feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Valenzuela landing with the ground and pound. Valenzuela stands up over Zee, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Valenzuela working some strikes from top position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Valenzuela postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Valenzuela postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Valenzuela is stalling in the full guard. Zee working a defensive guard but Valenzuela manages to pass into side control anyway.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Valenzuela trying to control the position here. Zee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Valenzuela wants to get back to his feet but Zee is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Valenzuela is looking to cinch up a triangle. Zee throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Valenzuela's body to avoid the submission. Valenzuela has instead reached around Zee's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Valenzuela arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
