The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jose is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bolton's half guard.
Bolton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jose on the ground.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jose connects with a nice short shot to Bolton's temple.

Jose wants to take a breather but Bolton is having none of it.

Jose seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bolton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

and Bolton counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bolton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jose is working away from the top position though.

Jose is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jose is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bolton defends it well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jose wants to take a breather but Bolton is having none of it.
Jose postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bolton to stand up.

and Bolton counters with a single leg into guard. Jose didn't expect that.
Jose uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bolton is wriggling around but Jose manages to pass to half guard.

Bolton is trying to trip Jose. He has hold of a leg but Jose is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bolton persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Bolton is trying to escape back to his feet but Jose uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Bolton is trying to control Jose's posture but Jose avoids it.
Jose wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bolton keeps working.

Jose has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Bolton's body.
Jose is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Bolton is tapping out! This one is all over!
