Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carmen Avery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sky Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bad Mofo - Jai One ft. Charlie Blaze. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carmen Avery!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sky Walker!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Avery is defended easily by Walker.
Walker stuffs the takedown.
Walker lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Walker tries to counter with a clinch but Avery shakes him off and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carmen Avery. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Avery leaves Walker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Avery looks for a takedown but Walker sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walker is looking to stand up but Avery isn't so interested in that idea.

Walker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Avery doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Avery manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Walker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Walker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Avery is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Avery postures up in Walker's guard and throws a big left but Walker blocks it.

Walker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Avery gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Walker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Avery defends it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Walker pulls Avery in to control the position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Walker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Avery is one step ahead there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Avery stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Avery wants it to stay on the feet.
Walker is breathing heavily.
Walker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Avery's waist but Avery gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walker off to one side.

Carmen Avery has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sky Walker.
Walker is trying to break the clinch but Avery has him pressed against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Avery throws an elbow that misses. Walker uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Avery's guard. Nice move by Walker!
Avery is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Walker dives into side control.
Walker lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Avery down.

Walker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Avery is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Avery is looking to regain half guard here but Walker keeps moving and retains side control.

Walker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

What's Avery going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Walker is looking to take a break and control but Avery is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Walker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Avery has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Walker has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Avery accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Avery shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walker as he jumps to the side.

Walker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Avery is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Avery just leaning against Walker, taking a breather.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Avery wants to sweep here but Walker controlling him for the moment.

Sky Walker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Walker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carmen Avery is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Avery shoots in looking for a takedown. Walker tries to sprawl out of it but Avery keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carmen Avery.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Avery, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
