Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stanley Kimmons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luh Sosa! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sosa tries to close the distance and clinch but Kimmons swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sosa tries to clinch but Kimmons is having none of it. Sosa is looking to clinch but Kimmons is avoiding it.
Sosa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sosa plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Stanley Kimmons has been cut. Sosa throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Kimmons decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sosa's guard. Kimmons trying to control the position from guard on top but Sosa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kimmons stands up from guard. Let's bang! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Kimmons with that takedown attempt. Sosa throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimmons throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sosa was covering up waiting for the punch and Kimmons finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kimmons drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kimmons jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kimmons passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kimmons goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sosa rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kimmons's guard! Nice work there by Sosa! Kimmons might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kimmons trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sosa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sosa is posturing up here but Kimmons has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Sosa tries to roll out but it's too tight and Sosa has to tap! Slick submission there by Kimmons!
