Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cael Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Lapis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapis has chosen Once Solemn as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cael Gable! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Lapis! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Lapis. Gable does a little dance to reset his feet. Lapis stuns Gable with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Gable throws a nice looking combination but Lapis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gable takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Lapis throws a body shot but no joy. Gable dips to his left and cracks Lapis with an uppercut! Lapis misses with a body shot
and Gable counters with a nice uppercut. Gable takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Andrey Lapis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lapis throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gable scores with a hook to the body. Lapis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Gable misses with a hook
letting Lapis counter with a right hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lapis throws a series of punches but Gable moves out of range. Gable moves out of range of the strikes. Gable misses with a straight left. Lapis misses with a few strikes there.
Gable half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Lapis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gable sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gable half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lapis misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lapis tries to clinch there but Gable circles away.
Gable feinted with a counter takedown. Gable takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Lapis moves to clinch but Gable breaks away and Gable counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gable wants to take a breather but Lapis is having none of it. Lapis keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gable is trying to control the action in half guard but Lapis is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lapis trying to control here.
Gable scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Lapis has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Lapis wants to control but Gable is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lapis works his way to full guard. Good work. Gable got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lapis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gable has managed to get both his arms back between Lapis's legs - danger averted. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gable accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gable stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Lapis has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Gable manages to get his head free but now Lapis has transitioned to an armbar! Gable grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Lapis! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
