Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikey Havoc! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Koko! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Havoc misses with a body shot
and Koko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Havoc throws a sloppy body shot
and Koko counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Havoc thinking. Havoc looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Koko stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Mikey Havoc has been cut. Havoc checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Havoc walks into a jab. Havoc throws a poor cross that misses
and Koko counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Koko. Koko is defending well against a takedown attempt. Koko has Havoc pressed against the cage, preventing Havoc from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Havoc working hard to break the clinch. Koko manages to break the clinch.
Havoc misses with a double jab
and Koko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Koko has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Havoc is landing a low percentage of strikes. Koko ducks under a wild hook from Havoc. Havoc throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Havoc takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Koko showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Havoc.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koko fails in his attempt to clinch. Havoc misses with a double jab
and Koko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Havoc throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Havoc takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mikey Havoc's cut is getting worse. Koko takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Mikey Havoc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Havoc misses with a body shot.
Havoc misses with a combination
and Koko counters with a low kick, right behind Havoc 's knee. Koko throws out a leg kick but Havoc moves out of range and Koko only half commits. Koko connects with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lazy left from Koko finds it's target. Koko lands a big head kick that sends Havoc tumbling to the mat! Koko takes a step backwards and waves Havoc back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Mikey Havoc's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Koko - that will leave a mark!
Havoc is breathing heavily. Koko dips to his left and cracks Havoc with an uppercut!
Jeez, Mikey Havoc's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Havoc walks straight into a right hand from Koko - that's dropped him! Koko jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Havoc from any more punishment! Havoc complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Michael Koko! Michael Koko retains his light heavyweight title! A relieved looking Michael Koko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. In defeat, Mikey Havoc stepped up to the mic, saying 'I don't like balloons.'.
