Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Garland Deleon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garland Deleon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Garland Deleon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Nakamura! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakamura closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Deleon wants to get back to his feet. Nakamura is keen to just control but Deleon is a slippery customer. Nakamura stops Deleon from getting back to his feet.
Nakamura with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Nakamura is trying to control the action in half guard but Deleon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nakamura stops Deleon from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nakamura not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Deleon actively working from the bottom here. Nakamura tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Deleon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nakamura goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Andrew Nakamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nakamura shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Nakamura wants to stand and escape but instead Deleon has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Nakamura is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakamura wants to stand up but Deleon is controlling him. Deleon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Nakamura wants to sweep but no luck. Nakamura is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Deleon defends well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakamura wants to control the position but Deleon says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Nakamura flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Deleon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Deleon prevents Nakamura from improving his position. Deleon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nakamura's head. Nakamura tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Nakamura wants to improve his position but Deleon is controlling well.
Nakamura manages to get to full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nakamura gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Deleon to score an easy takedown into full guard. Nakamura has his feet on Deleon's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakamura shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Deleon napping and manages to drive through into side control! Nakamura is trying to ground and pound but Deleon uses the momentary lack of control by Nakamura to regain half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Deleon gets full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Nakamura dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Deleon shoots in for a double leg but Nakamura sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Nakamura shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Deleon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Nakamura has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Nakamura stands and steps away. Deleon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Deleon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nakamura sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nakamura. A momentary lapse in concentration from Deleon enables Nakamura to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Deleon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Deleon is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Andrew Nakamura has got the better of the ground game so far. Nakamura is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Deleon throwing strikes but missing. Nakamura wants to hit a switch here but Deleon passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Nakamura there! Nakamura tries to hold on but Deleon pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nakamura can't escape the position.
Nakamura tries to lock up and control but Deleon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Deleon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Deleon throws some wild stikes that Nakamura manages to avoid easily.
Nakamura tries to hold on but Deleon pushes him away. Nakamura manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Deleon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nakamura as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garland Deleon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nakamura stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nakamura wants it to stay on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamura tries to clinch up but Deleon circles away and keeps his distance. Nakamura looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Deleon tries to kick Nakamura off in order to stand up. Nakamura Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Deleon manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Deleon tries to get to full guard but Nakamura has control of the leg. Nakamura working Deleon over with strikes. Nakamura is controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deleon won't allow Nakamura to pass to mount. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nakamura lands a nice short elbow. Nakamura lands strikes from half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Deleon wants to sweep but Nakamura has passed to side control! Nakamura stands up and beckons Deleon to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Nakamura showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Still in half guard, Nakamura seems content to control. Nakamura is trying to work for a kimura but Deleon is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakamura won't let Deleon get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Deleon tries to reverse the position but Nakamura maintains control. Nakamura lands a heavy elbow. Deleon can't escape the position.
Nakamura controlling the pace for now. Nakamura looking to control but Deleon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakamura controlling from the full mount. Deleon tries to buck Nakamura off but he can't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Deleon wants to hold on but Nakamura pushes him away. Deleon is trying desperately to improve position. Deleon wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. I really don't envy Deleon right now.
Nakamura landing with strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Deleon is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Nakamura.
Garland Deleon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andrew Nakamura is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Nakamura is punishing Deleon with some ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrew Nakamura comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nakamura has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
