Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sara McSlamm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Red has chosen Method Man and Redman - Da Rockwilder as his entrance music. Sara McSlamm has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sara McSlamm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mr Red!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McSlamm as he jumps to the side.
McSlamm looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Red throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

McSlamm tries to sprawl but Red drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Red trying to mount his opponent but McSlamm defends it.
McSlamm is staying active underneath Red, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Red trying to pass the guard but McSlamm defending well.
Red wants to lay and pray for a moment but McSlamm keeps working.

Red is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Red thuds a left hand into McSlamm's body.
Red throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McSlamm's waist but McSlamm gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Red off to one side.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Red fails with the takedown.
Sara McSlamm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Red.
Red looks to score with a jab to the body but McSlamm is just out of range.

Red shoots in and drives through. McSlamm sprawls well.

McSlamm swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Good exchange - Red coming out on top.
Red's corner calls for a 1-2. Red obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

McSlamm gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Red to score an easy takedown into full guard.

McSlamm controlling the position.
Red trying to control but McSlamm is working from the bottom.
McSlamm controls Red momentarily but Red frees himself.

Red stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McSlamm swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Red is fighting to break McSlamm's control of his arms but McSlamm is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Red controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Red throws a hook to the side of McSlamm's head but McSlamm sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McSlamm is looking to counter punch.

McSlamm thows a huge punch but Red dodges it nicely.

McSlamm has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McSlamm is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mr Red showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sara McSlamm.
I think Red has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
