Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Palazzolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leandro Palazzolo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leandro Palazzolo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodrigo Ferreira!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferreira scores with a takedown into Palazzolo's guard.
Palazzolo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Palazzolo seems keen to control Ferreira's posture.
Ferreira trying to control but Palazzolo is working from the bottom.

Ferreira wants to control from the top but Palazzolo keeps moving.

Palazzolo pulls Ferreira in to control the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ferreira gets caught flat footed, as Palazzolo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ferreira can't keep his opponent in guard - Palazzolo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Palazzolo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Ferreira is looking to control Palazzolo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ferreira avoid being mounted?
Palazzolo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Palazzolo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ferreira to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ferreira shrugs it off.

Palazzolo has hold of Ferreira's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ferreira manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Ferreira wants to control but Palazzolo is having none of it.
Palazzolo wants to control the pace but Ferreira is squirming around nicely.
Ferreira tries to lock up and control but Palazzolo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Palazzolo takes Ferreira's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Ferreira is in trouble.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Ferreira is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Palazzolo is looking for the choke from the back position but Ferreira is controlling his hands well.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Palazzolo is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ferreira knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ferreira for a finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Ferreira shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Palazzolo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Palazzolo is looking to regain half guard here but Ferreira keeps moving and retains side control.

Ferreira tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ferreira has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ferreira wants to control but Palazzolo is keeping him busy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ferreira closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Palazzolo quickly recovers to half guard.
Still in half guard, Ferreira seems content to control.
Ferreira is breathing heavily.
Palazzolo trying to control but Ferreira postures up.
Palazzolo manages to get to full guard.

Palazzolo wants to sweep here but Ferreira controlling him for the moment.
Palazzolo has Ferreira pulled in close to control his posture.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Palazzolo throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ferreira.
Palazzolo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Rodrigo Ferreira has got the better of the ground game so far.

Palazzolo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ferreira sees it coming and defends easily.

Palazzolo wants to take his opponent's back but Ferreira doesn't allow it.
Palazzolo takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rodrigo Ferreira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Ferreira is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Palazzolo's half guard.
Palazzolo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ferreira's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ferreira's back!

Palazzolo is cranking Ferreira's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Ferreira! He's tightened the choke and Ferreira is tapping out!
