Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Serget (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinan Yak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serget comes to the cage accompanied by Friends in lower places. Yak has chosen Silahsiz Kuvvet - Sözlerim Silahim as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Sinan Yak has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bob Serget's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
34 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Serget! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sinan Yak! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Serget slips a jab from Yak. Serget drops down looking for a counter takedown but Yak sprawls and moves away. Serget takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Yak with a body punch. A glancing blow. Serget takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Bob Serget has been cut. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yak has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Yak throws a body punch but Serget moves out of range. Yak lands with a shot to the body. Serget gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Yak misses with a jab to the body
and Serget counters with a series of strikes. Yak will be more careful next time no doubt. Serget takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yak scores with a nice strike. Yak throws a hook but Serget avoids it easily. Serget changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serget takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Serget ducks under a wild hook from Yak. Yak misses the jab. Serget attempts a counter takedown but Yak avoids it well and moves away. Yak fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Yak lands with an overhand left. Horrible takedown attempt by Serget or perhaps it was just good defense by Yak, which made it look bad. Yak throws out a counter right but Serget avoids it with no problem. Yak looks to land a left hand but Serget moved out of range nicely. Serget feinted with a counter takedown. Serget blocks a jab. Yak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Serget.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Serget tries to move into range but Yak moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Bob Serget's cut is getting worse. Serget darts in looking for a takedown but Yak gets double underhooks and turns Serget into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Serget. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yak scores with a hook to the body. Serget takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Yak waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Serget. Yak lands with a straight right. Serget didn't see that one coming. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yak lands a nice looking body shot.
Yak cracks Serget with a right hand to the side of the head. Yak misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Serget.
Yak throws a big shot that misses. Serget half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Serget shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yak pinned against the cage. Yak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Yak drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Serget defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yak is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Serget. A jab from Yak does it's job there. Serget closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yak circles away. Yak is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Serget had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Serget has a takedown stuffed. Donk. Yak catches Serget right on the button with a cross. Yak swings widly with a right hand
and Serget counters with a two punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Excellent takedown into side control there by Serget. This has been an exciting period of action! Serget works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Yak gets back to half guard. Yak is trying to get back to full guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Serget lands a nice short elbow. Yak is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Yak manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sinan Yak dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bob Serget's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A big right from Yak misses. Serget takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Yak changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Yak. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Yak throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Serget shoots in looking for a takedown. Yak tries to sprawl out of it but Serget keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Serget slips under a jab. Serget drops down looking for a counter takedown but Yak sprawls and moves away. Serget moves out of range as Yak strikes. Yak has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Yak swings widly with a right hand
and Serget counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Serget. Yak pushes Serget off and gets back to his feet.
Bob Serget is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Serget. Yak throws a good cross that connects.
Yak cracks Serget with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bob Serget's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Serget fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Yak sprawls well initially but Serget persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Serget prevents Yak from improving his position. Yak is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Serget's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Serget's back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. That's two minutes gone in the round. Yak might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Serget haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Yak patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Serget is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. Yak darts in and out, connecting with a jab. The fighters circle momentarily. Yak darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Decent striking displayed by Yak there. Yak misses with a right hand and Serget counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Yak! Yak is trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yak sneaks back into half guard. Yak actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yak wants to control but Serget is keeping busy.
Serget controlling the pace. Serget stops Yak from getting back to his feet.
Serget working over Yak with some ground and pound. Yak looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Serget takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Serget winds up and cracks Yak with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yak wants to control but Serget passes into side.
Yak is looking for a sweep. Serget trying to control the action but Yak is working from the bottom. Yak gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Yak trying to control here.
Serget perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Serget winds up and cracks Yak with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Serget is taking a breather. Yak says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sinan Yak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Bob Serget's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

and Serget counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yak won't be happy with that. Serget looks up at the clock and then as Yak takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Serget smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Yak sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Yak has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Serget is working away from the top position though. Yak tries to get to full guard but Serget has control of the leg. Serget keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Yak is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Serget seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Serget looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yak tries to get to full guard but Serget has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yak with the active half guard here but Serget passes nicely into side control. Serget working the head with strikes. Serget staying calm. Yak wants to control but Serget postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yak tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Serget wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Yak is still trying to improve position. Serget is trying to get an arm triangle but Yak is defending well. Yak is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Yak tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sinan Yak is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Serget takes a little break here. Yak wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Yak tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Serget presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Serget controlling the position easily from mount. Yak wants to control but Serget is having none of it. Yak is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yak wants to control but Serget is having none of it. Yak is trying to escape the mount.
Yak sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Serget content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Yak tries to get to full guard but Serget has control of the leg. Bob Serget has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Yak tries to kick Serget off but Serget keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Bob Serget showed his dominance in that final round. I think Yak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
