Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bob Fynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Madhead Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power has chosen Mouth for war as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Fynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Madhead Power!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fynn misses with a double jab.

Fynn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Power's guard.
Fynn wants to get up but he can't break Power's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fynn scoring with some ground and pound.
Power pulls Fynn in to control the position.

Power has his foot on Fynn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fynn works his way back into a safe position though.
Fynn tries to free his leg and advance position but Power is retaining full guard.
Fynn trying to control but Power is working from the bottom.
Fynn wanted to stand there but Power had control of the position.
Fynn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Power's head.
Fynn wants to control from the top but Power keeps moving.
Fynn throws a big right hand that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Power had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fynn defends it easily.
Power is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fynn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fynn decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Power, up you get!

Fynn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Fynn postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Power is on top in guard.

Fynn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Power can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fynn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Power gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Power in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Power stands and throws Fynn's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Fynn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fynn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fynn is looking for a sweep.
Fynn can't do much from the bottom here.
Power working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Power throws a strike aimed at the side of Fynn's head but Fynn avoids it well.

Fynn struggling a bit here.
Power tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Fynn is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Power is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fynn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Power looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Fynn is looking for a sweep.
Fynn is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Power asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Fynn tries to improve position but can't.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Power working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
You can see the frustration on Fynn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fynn gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Power sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Fynn defending well though.
Power seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fynn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Fynn tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Power manages to move to mount!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fynn is looking to improve his position but Power isn't that keen on the idea.
Fynn is working hard here to advance position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fynn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Power is trying to control Fynn's posture but Fynn avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Power takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Fynn landing a few strikes.
Power wants to control but Fynn postures up.

Fynn stands up.

Power gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Power is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Fynn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Power looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Fynn puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Power actively working from the bottom here.
Fynn has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Power wants to control but Fynn is having none of it.
Fynn connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Fynn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Power can do to turn this around?

Power is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bob Fynn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fynn is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Power is still in real trouble! Can Fynn finish him?
Power is in a horrible position here. Fynn smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Fynn is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Power is surviving well by controlling Fynn's body position as best he can.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Power tries to hold on but Fynn postures up.
Power seems to have recovered his senses.

Fynn gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Power has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Fynn is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Bob Fynn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fynn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fynn appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Fynn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Fynn stands and throws Power's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Power is trying to control Fynn's posture but Fynn avoids it.

Fynn stands up and beckons Power to his feet.

Fynn darts in and clinches Power up against the cage.

Fynn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Fynn feints and as Power raises his hands in defense, Fynn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Power controls Fynn momentarily but Fynn frees himself.

Fynn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Power has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fynn has managed to get both his arms back between Power's legs - danger averted.
Fynn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Fynn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fynn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Power is not content to let Fynn control the position.

Fynn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Power knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Fynn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fynn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Power can't do much from the bottom here.

That's time! Fynn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Power gets caught napping as Fynn dives in and scores a takedown. Power manages to retain guard.
Power keeping moving, preventing Fynn from controlling successfully.

Power is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fynn defends well.
Fynn is working Power over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Power is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Fynn is staying active.

Fynn is really struggling to control Power but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fynn connects with a nice short shot to Power's temple.

Fynn is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Fynn stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Power misses with a series of wild punches.
Power takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fynn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Power tries to stall but Fynn uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Fynn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Power tries to bum rush Fynn with a series of wild strikes but Fynn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fynn throws a right and a left that Power avoids nicely.

Fynn gets a takedown into half guard.
Fynn controlling the action here.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Fynn is looking to advance position but Power won't allow it.
Power wants to control but Fynn is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fynn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fynn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fynn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Power keeps working.

Fynn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Power knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bob Fynn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Fynn content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
