Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerrod Beach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dumaham Bijan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dumaham Bijan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jerrod Beach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dumaham Bijan!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bijan gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Beach tries for a takedown but Bijan manages to get underhooks.

Bijan jumps guard and drags Beach to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Beach drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bijan dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bijan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Beach managing to control the position.
Bijan sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bijan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Beach is keeping the position for now.

Beach working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bijan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bijan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bijan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Beach is trying to keep Bijan in close.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bijan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Beach's half guard.
Well, if Bijan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Bijan stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Bijan has taken the fight to the clinch.

Beach wants a takedown.
Beach jumps guard but Bijan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Beach passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Bijan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Beach asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bijan tries to buck Beach off but Beach is having none of it.
Beach has control of an arm but Bijan manages to advance to Beach's back!
Bijan has the hooks in. Beach is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
What can Beach do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dumaham Bijan dominated that round.
That's time! Beach's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bijan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Beach has his feet on Bijan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Bijan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Beach is trying to keep an underhook but Bijan manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Bijan is taking a breather. Beach says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bijan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beach swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Beach is looking to stand up but Bijan isn't so interested in that idea.
Bijan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bijan wants to pass the guard but Beach is keeping the position.
Beach is trying to keep Bijan in close.
Bijan trying to control but Beach is working from the bottom.

Bijan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Beach looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bijan clinches.

Bijan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bijan stuffs the takedown.
Dumaham Bijan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bijan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Beach makes his way to full guard, as Bijan worked for a kimura.

Beach is working an open guard so Bijan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Beach looks for a takedown but Bijan sprawls well.
Despite the aggression on Bijan's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Beach tries to keep at a distance but Bijan has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bijan looks to land a combination but Beach avoids it well.

Bijan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Beach napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Dumaham Bijan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Beach shoots for a double leg takedown but Bijan sprawls well. He's pushed Beach's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beach takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Bijan rushes Beach and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Beach is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bijan to keep the fight standing.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Bijan.
Bijan lands a hook to the side of the head.

Bijan is looking to take a break and control but Beach is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well Bijan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
