Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Clivk Trunk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ready Go (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Clivk Trunk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ready Go!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Go moves into the clinch.
Trunk tries to pull guard but Go holds him up against the cage and eventually Trunk drops back down to his feet.
Go content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Go pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Trunk forces Go back against the cage and clinches.
Trunk stalls.
Trunk can't break the clinch.
Go drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Trunk gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Trunk breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trunk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Go as he avoids it easily.
Go tries for a takedown but Trunk sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Go fails with the takedown.
Trunk throws a big counter combination but Go scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Clivk Trunk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ready Go.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trunk slaps away a takedown attempt from Go, before circling back to the center of the mat.
No luck for Go with that takedown attempt.
Trunk tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Go manages to circle out of the way.
Trunk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Go as he avoids it easily.
Trunk tries to close the distance and clinch but Go swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Go tries to counter by closing the distance.
Trunk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Trunk tries to clinch up.
Trunk slips a jab and a cross from Go.
Go fails with a takedown attempt.

Trunk misses with a takedown attempt
letting Go counter with a right hand.
Go keeps the fight on the outside.
No luck for Trunk with that takedown attempt.
Trunk wants to clinch but Go slips to the side
and Go counters with a right hand to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Go.

Go has Trunk up against the cage in a clinch.
Trunk swings wildly with an uppercut but Go uses good head movement to avoid it.
Go tries to pull guard but Trunk forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Go changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Trunk fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Trunk looks for a takedown but Go sprawls well.
Go looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sloppy strikes from Go. Those never looked like landing.

Trunk has closed the distance and engaged Go in a clinch.
Go is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Trunk ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Trunk no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Trunk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Go doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Go manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trunk is breathing heavily.
Trunk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Go's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Trunk stands up from Go's guard - Trunk perhaps looking for a knockout.
Trunk checks a leg kick nicely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Trunk is trying to pull guard but Go has him pressed against the cage.
Go wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Trunk trying to stall but Go improves his position.
Go goes for a takedown in the clinch but Trunk prevents it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Go misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Trunk.
Go avoiding damage as Trunk throws knees to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ready Go will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Trunk is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Go pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Go jumps guard but Trunk turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Go content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Go is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Trunk to keep the fight standing.
Trunk has Go pressed against the cage, preventing Go from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Go has had enough of the clinch but Trunk keeps him there for the moment.
Go is trying to break the clinch but Trunk is controlling him.

Go jumps guard but Trunk turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Go is trying to pull guard but Trunk has him pressed against the cage.
Trunk throws an elbow but it misses.

Trunk manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Go pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Trunk is keeping the position for now.
Go tries to stand but Trunk is controlling from the bottom.
Go controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Trunk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Go tries to kick Trunk off in order to stand up. Trunk Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Go tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trunk working the ground and pound but Go is defending the strikes.
Trunk working away.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Trunk tries to clinch but Go moves out of range.
Go with the counter takedown but Trunk avoids it easily.
Go with a nice cross.
Go has a takedown stuffed.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Go doesn't manage to clinch there - Trunk circles away.

Go rushes Trunk and presses him up against the cage.
Go wants a takedown but no success here.

Trunk jumps guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Trunk manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Trunk is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Go taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Go just leaning against Trunk, taking a breather.
Go has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Trunk is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Go tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Trunk changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Go fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Trunk goes for a double leg but Go avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Go continues to drive forward.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Go clinches up with Trunk and pushes him back against the cage.
Trunk letting Go take a breather here.
Trunk fails to pull guard.
Trunk is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Go is defending well.
Go wants a takedown.
Trunk keeps control of Go as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Trunk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Go walks away with a smile on his face. Trunk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Go looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A little feinted left hand from Trunk on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Trunk jumps guard but Go turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ready Go showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Trunk is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Go looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Trunk works Go's body with a nice hook.
Go scores with a one two! Trunk had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Clivk Trunk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Go leaves Trunk with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ready Go seems to be getting the better of the standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Go wants to break free but Trunk has control.

Trunk manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Go got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trunk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Go has managed to get both his arms back between Trunk's legs - danger averted.
Go would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Go has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Go is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Go trying to stand up but can't free himself from Trunk's guard.

Trunk looking for a sweep. Not yet Trunk, not yet.
Go pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Trunk is keeping the position for now.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Go really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trunk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Trunk misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Go rushes Trunk and presses him up against the cage.
Trunk has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Go avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Go changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Trunk fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Trunk dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Go. That did some damage!

and Go counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Go shoots in for a takedown but Trunk shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Trunk shoots in but Go avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Go darts in and clinches Trunk up against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ready Go comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Go winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
