The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Batista or perhaps it was just good defense by Sedor, which made it look bad.
Batista throws a shot from downtown. Sedor moves away and avoids it.
Sedor lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Batista at a distance.
Gab Batista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batista fails with a takedown attempt.
Batista darts in looking for a takedown but Sedor gets double underhooks and turns Batista into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gab Batista. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sedor moves out of range as Batista strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sedor. Batista does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Sedor as Batista shoots in.
Sedor wants to counter the offense by Batista and move into the clinch position.

Sedor lands a left and a right that send Batista crashing to the mat, dazed. Sedor thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
